I have to say Michelle and Richard had a fantastic day for their wedding at the magnificent and historic Farnham Castle. While Michelle and her three bridesmaids had her Bridal Prep at the intimate and elegant Gatehouse to the Castle, Richard actually got ready in the Castle’s Bridal Suite and was later joined by his groomsmen.

The morning was brilliant and you could truly feel the excitement in the air which helped me a lot to capture some relaxed preparation photos. Their ceremony was held in the iconic Lantern Hall and one of my favorite moments was when Michelle and her dad walked down the Isle – it was really emotional.

The ceremony was followed by confetti down on the famous Fox steps and then the guests had drinks and canapés on the lawn. Confident in our carefully planned schedule, I took Michelle and Richard and their immediate family to the Keep for some tradition group photos and some stunning and romantic portraits. I’m so lucky to be a recommended photographer for Farnham Castle – there are just so many amazing places for great photographs with a bride and groom there.

The speeches were really funny and gave me a fantastic opportunity to photograph a whole range of emotions from deep embarrassment to uncontrolled laughter. Funnily enough, it turned out that the father of the bride is a friend of the rock singer and songwriter Rod Stewart and both he and Penny Lancaster were guests at the wedding. Needless to stay I grabbed a selfie with Sir Rod (once again million thanks for this) on this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Just before Michelle and Richard’s First Dance we were treated to a fabulous sunset and we were able to get some really nice “golden hour” photographs of them in front of the Castle.

The evening party was absolutely crazy with Ceilidh dancing.

The whole day was perfect. Michelle and Richard were a fabulous bride and groom and their guests were awesome. I wish I could photograph their wedding again, it had so much fun and energy and everyone just looked stunning.

It was an absolute honour to photograph their wedding and I send them my heart-felt best wishes for their new lives together.
