Belmond Le Manoir Wedding Photos

I was beyond excited when an amazing couple booked me as their Belmond Le Manoir wedding photographer. Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, to use its full name, is a 5 star Belmond hotel situated in rural Oxfordshire. The 15th-century manor house hotel is a sight to behold; its name translates to “The Four Seasons Manor.” The venue boasts a 2 Michelin Star restaurant created by none other than Raymond Blanc OBE, making it a food lovers paradise. This only adds to the luxurious feel and French flair of this unique wedding venue. It was truly a privilege to work there.

Pre-Ceremony Wedding Photos at Belmond Le Manoir

As with most of my wedding days, this one started bright and early. The manor house looked particularly splendid in the mid-morning sun, and the grounds were vibrant and manicured to perfection. The same was also true of the bride and her bridal party, who were in full swing getting ready for the day ahead. The atmosphere was a healthy mix of joy, fun, and emotion. I was happy to be a fly on the wall capturing the story of the day as it began to unfold. The world's coolest page boy made an appearance, and a pair of Jimmy Choos had their moment in the spotlight. There was even time for creative portraits with the bride in her spectacular room.

A Belmond Le Manoir Wedding Ceremony

When searching for their Belmond Le Manoir wedding photographer, Lisa and Paul set out to find someone that they could trust to really capture the essence of their wedding. They wanted the lasting photographic memories of their wedding day to feature the perfect mix of photo-journalistic, storytelling, and stylish couples photography. The British weather was on its best behaviour for this Oxford wedding. As a result, the ceremony took place outdoors and made great use of the space on offer at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons. The deep greens of the manor's gardens provided a wonderful backdrop to the sea of smiling faces that made up the wedding party. Likewise, the rich blue suits worn by Paul and his groomsmen added a pop of vibrancy to proceedings.

With Lisa and Paul officially hitched, I took them to explore the picturesque grounds of Le Manoir for some creative photos. This part of the day gives couples a chance to catch up and enjoy their first moments alone (relatively) as husband and wife. There are so many beautiful locations within the hotel grounds; it's a playground for any Belmond Le Manoir wedding photographer. I made full use of the numerous gardens, meadows, ponds and the Japanese tea garden to create spectacular, memorable wedding images for Lisa and Paul. They even stopped for a quick round of croquet! I couldn't keep the happy couple from their guests forever, so we found our way back the reception. Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons is renowned for its food; consequently, this was a key detail of Lisa and Paul's wedding reception. Gaining special access to the 2 Michelin Star Kitchen to capture action shots of head chef Gary Jones and his team hard at work was a real thrill for me. An evening of celebration, speeches and general good times ensued, with further opportunity for creative photos of the happy couple once the sun had gone down. All in all, a fantastic day; thanks once again to Lisa and Paul for trusting me to capture it.
